Photographs like this one are often hard to come by. Some are found tucked away in the attic, others in personal effects at the death of a loved one, some are in archives and museums, but sadly, many have were thrown away long ago.
This photograph was submitted in the hope that one of our readers can help find the photograph in its entirety. Found in her ancestors belongings, she believes that her ancestor was pictured in the part of the photo that was torn off. Here’s hoping that are military history lovers can help.
MY GRANDFATHER. LT. LOUIS C BROWN, CO. D, 7TH ENGINEERS, 5ID WAS WOUNDED 10/14/18 NEAR CUNEL FRANCE. REPORTS THAT I HAVE SAY HE WAS TAKEN FROM THE FIELD TO FIELD HOSPITAL 17. THEN TO MOBILE HOSPITAL 1 (Fromerville?), WHERE HE DIED 10/18/18. He was later buried in Romagne and is to this day.
