Veterans Day
Originally known as Armistice Day, it was renamed Veterans Day in 1954. Armistice Day marked the formal ending of World War I on 11 November 1918. Ceremonies are observed at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month each year as a sacred reminder of the end of the “war to end all wars.”
We should never forget the sacrifices made throughout the ages by countless men and women who have stood in the face of fear and fought on.
